Appart trouvé..!

Je viens d'emménager dans mon nouvel appartement à Barcelone et ce n'est pas de tout repos! Après de multiples démarches (il y a énormément d'agences de logements!) nous avons décidé de faire affaire avec Barcelona Housing for Students (http://www.bcn-housing-students.com, appartement #970). Ils ont une banque d'appartements à louer par mois et s'occupent de nous traduire les contrats.

Nous y avons trouvé un sympathique loft de 60m2 meublé dans Barrio Gotico pour 800 euros par mois. Par contre, pour l'instant , nous n'avons toujours pas d'eau chaude; nous ne comprenons pas la laveuse qui semble prendre deux heures pour laver 5 morceaux de vêtements et qui décide de ne pas se vider, nous avons des casseroles trop usées pour être utilisées et extrêmement sales (je suis allée acheter du brillo!), 1 seul verre de vin, 2 verres normaux et il manque au moins 3 ampoules!

Hier, nous sommes allés au fameux marché la Boqueria pour nos fruits, légumes et charcuteries, puis dans un marché pas très loin pour le reste. Par contre, aujourd'hui, après notre premier jogging dans le port (il faut quand même se tenir en forme avec tout ce vin consommé! -prix moyen du vin variant entre 2 et 10 euros-), nous avons découvert Carrefour (qui ressemble à un Maxi) où tout est vraiment moins cher et où nous avons pu également trouver ampoules, rallonges électriques, casseroles et cie. Finalement, nous revenons tout juste d'un très typique et sympathique bar à tapas nommé El Xampanyet où les spécialités sont les tapas à base d'anchois et le vin mousseux catalan.

Sinon, voici mes descriptions pour mes cours d'histoire de l'art qui auront lieu à l'Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (pavillon San Pau):

Introduction to the course-Modernism: Art Nouveau Architecture Sketched and Explained Modernism is the most idiosyncratic, creative and original of all European Art Nouveau movements. It also gives Barcelona its distinctive image and brings to mind the name of Gaudi. But a general overview of this style will always be slightly misleading just because in Modernism the art is in the detail, and details are what general overviews leave out . This course offers the opportunity to discover the master works of Barcelona’s Art Nouveau architecture and the marvels of design contained in them. The history and cultural context of Modernism will be explained in the classroom. But this course will give special emphasis to the outdoors practice. Students will do sketches in front of the buildings and in the museum discovering and appreciating the often hidden qualities of the flowing Art Nouveau lines. The approach will be much more personal and accurate than if given in the strictly academic fashion.

INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE-URBAN INTERVENTIONS AND ART AS A LANGUAGE
THE CASE OF BARCELONA

This course focuses on the idea that Art and Urban Interventions can be understood as a language. Firstly, it is important to develop an understanding of the fundamental elements which help us look at and observe Painting and Sculpture. This foundation will then be used in order to further analyse the content and intentions of Spanish and International artist’s work. The second part of this programme looks specifically at Public works of art as Urban Interventions with reference to the cityscape of Barcelona (world renowned for its development of urban spaces) as well as other cities within Spain. In order to maintain the course as close to real artistic practice, there will be scheduled visits to various museums and public spaces.
